While we might think we could deal with the financial outcomes of terrible events, it can be quite scary. I suppose the real problem is that while we want the best home, car, health and dental insurance plans, they can sometimes cost the earth. But, you only get one life or one set of teeth, so you have to look after them, don't you?
Let's say you have your annual trip to your dental clinic. A hygienist most likely gave your teeth a good clean. If you're fortunate to have dental insurance coverage, chances are you didn't have a big bill to face afterwards. Without coverage from one of the many dental insurance plans out there, this wouldn't be too great a price to pay.
So, why don't we up the ante? What if your dentist found three cavities? That's what, a month's groceries or a payment on your car loan? Hmmm, yes it could be quite expensive indeed. Of course, that's only if you don't have dental insurance plans covering your back.

A month later, I was at the brink of insanity. The pain was driving me crazy. So, I headed to the dental clinic. While I hoped it was just to do with cleaning, to be honest, I knew I was in trouble as I saw the x-ray. The dentist advised me I had a broken tooth. I was in a state of shock, but that still didn't prepare me for the high price they were charging to rid me of this pain.
